Franklin Country Club is a Private 18 hole golf course located in Franklin, Massachusetts.
Franklin golf course opened in 1899 as a 9 hole course. The course was most probably laid out by the founders as was the custom of the day with changes and improvements being made on an on-going basis.
A 1921 newspaper article stated that the course had been entirely re-laid by Donald Ross. Most probably he acted only as a consultant. Ross published a list of courses he designed, and Franklin Country Club is not among them.
Wayne Stiles and John Van Kleek remodeled the course in 1926. William F. Mitchell remodeled it in 1959. Phil Wogan added 9 holes and remodled the course in 1974.
